INFANTS:

Our Infant Program revolves around the infant, and care is individualized as much as possible.

 The primary goals of this program are happy, comfortable babies who are allowed to learn, play and interact with others as they proceed through the day on their own particular schedules.

 Infant Stimulation Activities
(could include)  
Sensory Skills  nEncourage baby to touch, taste, see, smell, hear - to become aware of  his/her constantly changing  environment.  
Visual/Auditory Skills  nPlay with mirrors, colors,  rattles, listen to music, play rhythm instruments.  
Gross Motor Skills  nPractice rolling, sitting,  crawling, standing;  work on  foam ramps, bolsters,     foam  blocks. Activity outdoors or a walk.  
Fine Motor Skills  nPractice reaching and grasping, play with   manipulative toys.  
Cognitive Skills nTalk to baby, read to baby,  encourage exploration of  surroundings.  

 

12 Months to 18 Months
(In addition to the aforementioned)  
Group Activities   nExercising, songs,  fingerplays, puppets, rhymes,  story, musical instruments.  
Project Time   nArt, nature, science, water  and sand.
Music  nSongs, rhythm instruments,  movement with scarves  
Free Play nWith manipulatives, puzzles,  and foam blocks
